South African born Portuguese Mericia joined the Glass House team in July 2021.
She has over 24 years experience in the hospitality industry with a Masters Degree in Cosmetology and an International Trainer. Mericia has a very hands on approach and enjoys the interaction with both guests and team members. Her experience of raising three sons has given her the ability to be everywhere at once.
Assistant General Manager
Melissa has been working in the beauty industry for over 10 years. Having originally started as the Spa manager at Glass House to assist in the set up of the spa and treatments with her extensive knowledge and experience. Within 6 months, Melissa progressed onto becoming the Assistant Retreat Manager and in September 2021 became Assistant General Manager. Her passion and dedication has generated consistent 5* reviews within the Spa and she extends these standards across the entire retreat.
Charlotte has worked within the leisure and hospitality industry for over 14 years and her passion lies with ensuring customers receive the best possible experience they can.
Her experience is varied from managing front of house, spa and membership departments to operations and building maintenance.
Charlotte thrives on interaction with guests and representing our brand. She can normally be seen taking photos for us around the retreat putting her degree in photography to use or putting our guests at ease with her contagious laugh.
Originally from Madeira Portugal, Miguel Gouveia is the Catering Director at Glass House Retreat
Miguel’s passion for cuisine started in 2002, and in 2019 he joined Glass House Retreat and his journey to promote wellbeing began. Miguel expanded his knowledge in California at The Living Light Academy and took a degree on Raw Plant Based Cuisine, Vegan Master Spa Cuisine and Jason Vale Juicing course.
Miguel designed three different types of menus for Glass House Retreat these include Juicing, Weight Loss and Equilibrium. Due to the high demand in Plant Based cooking knowledge, Miguel now offers private classes in our Teaching Kitchen.
In his spare time Miguel loves to spend time with his family and socialising with friends.
