Microneedling

In comparison to dermo-rollers, the Germaine de Capuccini Dermatech pen provides a completely safe and more comfortable treatment. It uses controlled puncture on the skin with the ability to personalise the treatment for each individuals skin type. This not only improves resilts but provides a totally safe treatment whilst minimising discomfort and irritation. Our surgical needles are sterile.

In order to maximise the results of your Microneedling treatment and prevent damage to your skin, it is important to follow the following instructions.

Four weeks before your treatment stop using the following products and procedures:

Botox or fillers (4 weeks before)
Waxing or electrolysis (2 weeks before)
Depilatory/Hair Removal Creams (2 weeks before)
Sunbeds or sun exposure (2 weeks before)
Exfoliators that may be drying or irritating (1 week before)
Products with retinol, AHA, BHA or Benzyl Peroxide (1 week before)
Self-immune topical treatments (24 hours before)

After your treatment, it is common to experience tightness and reddening (similar to mild sunburn), slight itching or peeling of the skin. These symptoms should disappear after 2-5 days. It is essential to follow the guidelines below in order to protect your skin and maximise regeneration:

For 48-hours after: avoid using products containing alcohol, retinol, AHA or BHA
For 12-hours after: avoid applying make-up
For 7 days: avoid sun exposure or using an exfoliator
For 24-hours after: avoid intense physical exercise
For 2 weeks after: avoid any other intensive facial treatments
